Broadcasters' Audience Research Board

BARB (Broadcasters’ Audience Research Board) – logo redesign pitch

October 5, 2012

BARB, the Broadcaster’s Audience Research Board, is a gold standard measurement of TV audiences in the UK. The data it collates is used primarily by the business community that is centred on the UK television broadcasters but also by a secondary audience of the general public and students.

Communication objectives:
The logo must be Modern, Future-facing, Knowledgeable / Informative / Authoritative and Accessible.

Design process:
The logo is a composition out of shapes, lines and tones of colours. The triangular shapes and colour plays on the idea of data and statistics being placed together in harmony. One can even recognize the bright pie charts visible in the logo. Taking into consideration the logo will work across print, stationary and within digital mediums.
